I don’t remember what it was, but my character sent out Maws because it was the first in my party and I forgot to put Shedinja in the first slot instead. I decided to try it out in a battle, so I walked around in the tall grass until I encountered a wild Pokemon.

Not having played Pokemon for so long I didn’t remember what types were strong against electric types, and I had mostly grass types with me at the time.Įventually I evolved my Nincada into a Ninjask with an empty slot in my party and I had my Shedinja. Even if it wasn’t I figured it would be a cool Pokemon to have. I didn’t know what attacks Shedinja is invulnerable to, but I was hoping it couldn’t be harmed by most electric attacks because the Mauville City gym leader only uses electric types. So, I immediately set off to capture myself a Nincada and start training it. While leveling my Pokemon and getting ready to try and beat the gym leader again, I heard about Shedinja on the internet and I was intrigued by the idea of a Pokemon that’s completely invulnerable to certain attacks, and can only be obtained by evolving a Nincada into a Ninjask and having an empty space in your party. In fact, Maws is currently my favorite and my highest level Pokemon.Īnyway, I was doing great until I got to the Mauville City gym. It was male, which annoyed me a bit after I realized it because I wanted a female one, but I’ve put enough effort into leveling it now that I don’t care.

I also captured a Mawile that I named Maws. I evolved my Treeko into a Grovyle and captured a Ralts along the way that I named Sasha and evolved into a Kirlia.
#Leech life plus
I played through the game normally just like anyone else would, plus a slightly inappropriate bit of mischief where, after traveling to Dewford Town and talking to that guy who asks you about what’s in style, I replied “ADULT TOYS” only to find out that doing so causes every character in the community center building to talk about ADULT TOYS. Nothing unnatural happened, no glitched sprites or dialogue, no ghost Pokemon, no MissingNo’s killing all my Pokemon or anything. It was also a female Treeko, just like my old one… Odd, but not important.) Now, if you’ve read other Pokemon creepypastas you’re probably expecting all my old Pokemon to jump out of the screen and attack me for abandoning them or something ridiculous like that, but this isn’t like those stories. (Thinking back now, that might actually be what I named my starter as a kid. I chose Treeko as my starter because that’s the starter I chose as a kid, and named it Treekie, because I was too lazy to come up with a better name and didn’t remember my old Treeko’s name. When I booted the ROM I decided to name my character SETH because that’s what my original character from Ruby was named, one of the few things I still remember about it. I’m not sure if there’s a way to transfer my old Pokemon from my GBA to my laptop anyway, but regardless I had to start over. When I was 14 or 15 I found my old GBA and my copy of Ruby, but the batteries died before I could check my Pokemon and I couldn’t find any new batteries. I don’t know where my original copy of Pokemon Ruby is right now, and I don’t remember what Pokemon I had. I used to play it all the time as a kid, so when I got into Emulators it wasn’t long before I decided to get a GBA emulator and a Pokemon Ruby ROM so I could play it again and relive some of my old memories. I think my first Pokemon game when I was a kid was Pokemon Ruby, or at least my first handheld Pokemon game. It happened like 5 minutes ago, and I’ve decided to write about it now before I forget anything. This is my first Pokemon creepypasta story, but unlike most others, this one is actually true.
